Sal carries the 65 liter bag that weighs about 35 lbs and Gisela carries the 40 liter bag that weighs about 25 lbs.

you did a good job on packing small!
Looking over your list again, I noticed that you are taking balaclavas. I expect you use them to "withdraw money" in a bank? Smart! 8)
Btw, Gisela, I recommend to buy a Sarong e.g. in Thailand, they are pretty useful as towel, sunscreen, skirt, scarf, ... and they are colorful and pretty :-)

Haha, yes that's what we're gonna use the balaclavas for! Thanks the sarong suggestion. We do anticipate that we will need to buy some clothes along the way. We've had a lot of complements on packing small from other travelers along the way and after more than a month we are happy we packed light.
