Below are the places we saw and activities completed while visiting Singapore:
East Coast Lagoon Food Village: one of the better and more authentic hawker food centers
East Coast Park: took a small night stroll and viewed all the ships waiting to enter the port
Sri Veeramakaliamman Temple: only had a short view from the outside
Southern Ridges: walked through Singapore’s urban forest with nice views of the city and unique pedestrian bridges
Singapore Food Trail: a tourist hawker food center where the food was not very impressive
View of Merlion: Singapore’s symbol of a half lion, half mermaid
Gardens by the Bay: botanic gardens that featured futuristic tall structures
Boat Quay and Clarke Quay: walked along the Singapore River. Clarke Quay is home to the city’s largest nightlife, we went to a bar and to watch a live band.
Orchard Road: three to four block of massive shopping malls
Chinese New Year’s Opening Celebrations: walked through the bazaars and viewed performances with fireworks

Sri Mariamman Temple: Singapore’s oldest Hindu house of worship
Peranaka Museum: museum about the local Peranaka people, descendants of 15th and 16th century Chinese and Indian immigrants with native Malaysians
Buddha Tooth Relic Temple: a huge five-story Chinese Buddhist temple with what is believed to be a sacred tooth of Buddha
Thian Hock Keng Temple: Singapore’s oldest Hokkien building with elaborate carved and painted beams and panels
Sultan Mosque: we were only able to view Singapore’s biggest and most active mosque from the outside
