Below are our expenses and how they compared to our budget (in USD):
Cost of Transportation: $522 versus Budgeted: $400
Cost per day: $98 versus Budgeted: $115
We arrived to the Nordic countries knowing that we would unfortunately only be spending a few days in each due to the high cost of living. We were fortunate to be hosted the entire time in the country which was the reason we were able to spend less per day than budgeted. The transportation from Moscow to Helsinki was more than anticipated, therefore being over budget in that category and made us over budget overall by 18%.
