Cost of Transportation: $175 versus Budgeted: $300
Cost of Visa: $60 versus Budgeted: $60
Cost per day: $50 versus Budgeted: $56
Zimbabwe was relatively expensive compared to other neighboring countries and especially expensive for the people that live there. We were fortunate that the visa cost was what we anticipated and that we came under budget with our daily costs. The savings of our transportation allowed us to be under budget overall by 8%.
