Below are our expenses and how they compared to our budget (in USD):
Cost of Transportation: $38 versus Budgeted: $100
Cost of Visa: $0 versus Budgeted: $100
Cost per day: $59 versus Budgeted: $102
Israel is an expensive country, but we were fortunate to be hosted the majority of the time we were there, hence a lower cost per day. We did not spend too much money on transportation since we only traveled between Jerusalem and Tel Aviv. And they did not charge us for a visa, which was not what we had anticipated, that was good news! We were able to save 39% of the budget for Israel.
