Below are our expenses and how they compared to our budget (in USD):
Cost of Transportation: $60 versus Budgeted: $200
Cost per day: $93 versus Budgeted: $92
This was a country where we paid for accommodation and it shows. Although we were able to find an affordable room the daily expenses went slightly over budget. We did book an affordable bus trip to Budapest that helped in save the transportation budget. The transportation savings and the fact that we stayed one day less than anticipated helped us save 40% of the overall country budget.
