We spent 2.5 times more days than we had anticipated in the country and traveled throughout. Therefore, it resulted in transportation costs that were over budget. We were able to minimize our daily expenses and finding an economical way to travel to Machu Picchu helped in this category. This resulted in a savings of 8% of our overall country budget.
