We had the tragic need to travel to Colombia due to the loss of Gisela’s brother. This resulted in having to buy an emergency flight that was 87% of the transportation expenses, which took us over budget in transportation. The internal flights that we had to take on our second entrance of the country coming from the Amazon were just a little over budget. Most of the time in the country we spent with friends and family, which helped to minimize our daily expenses, but we ended up spending more than three times the amount of days which resulted being over budget by 41% in the overall country budget.
