Below are our expenses and how they compared to our budget (in USD):
Cost of Transportation: $152 versus Budgeted: $200
Cost of Visa: $20 versus Budgeted: $20
Cost per day: $32 versus Budgeted: $51
We were able to come within budget on all three categories above, but we stayed in the country almost five times longer than anticipated. We also visited the Corn Islands that are more expensive than the mainland and relatively far as well. This resulted in being 110% over budget in the overall country budget.
