Below are our expenses and how they compared to our budget (in USD):
Cost of Transportation: $430 versus Budgeted: $200
Cost per day: $66 versus Budgeted: $68
Britain is an expensive country and it shows where we more than doubled our budgeted expenses for transportation, but to our benefit we did travel vastly through the island. We did come just under budget in our daily costs thanks to friends hosting us and Couchsurfing, but we did spend a few more days than what we had anticipated. The cost of transportation and spending more days in the island resulted in being over budget by 27% overall.
