Below are our expenses and how they compared to our budget (in USD):
Cost of Transportation: $216 versus Budgeted: $200

We were just a little over budget in our transportation costs, because the overpriced bus to cross the border from Bolivia alone accounted for 55% of the transportation costs. Fortunately, we did not have a repeat of Bolivia with the immigration officials and they let us use our Latin American passports, although it took a little convincing. This allowed us to save on the visa. We were also able to spend less on our daily expenses, but we stayed more than double the days we anticipated and not even the visa savings helped offset the extra days. Fortunately, we were only over by 2% of the overall country budget.
