Below are our expenses and how they compared to our budget (in USD):
Cost of Transportation: $272 versus Budgeted: $1,000
Cost per day: $43 versus Budgeted: $76
Despite spending a couple more days than anticipated, we were able to save 57% of our budget in South Korea. The savings came from two different sources: we were very fortunate not to pay for any accommodation during our visit, therefore lowering our expenses per day, and we spent significantly less in transportation. With these savings, we are for the first time since New Zealand, after our first country, under budget for the entire trip!!
