Pure Adrenaline on the Zambezi River

The Zambezi River has the strength and volume of all the water that makes its way down through the Victoria Falls. The beautiful gorges shaped by centuries of the river current are the perfect scenario for excitement. They call it one of the best white water rafting destinations in the world and it sure lives up to it! On December 28, 2013, we spent about 6 hours white water rafting. We passed through 25 major rapids with more than half of them being class 5. The rapids ranged from being long to having huge drops and big kicks. The raft flipped twice and cannot imagine any raft going through the entire course without overturning. This experience has been one of the most adrenaline rush adventures we have had in Our First World Trip.

Many times an image can say more than a thousand words, but a video says millions! Take a look at the videos below of us going down the Zambezi. If you want to keep an eye on us, we were both sitting on the right side of the raft facing down the river, Sal in the front and Gisela was two behind Sal. Enjoy this amazing ride, the only risk is that you may get tempted to do it too šŸ˜‰
