About Us
Salvador Antonio was born in San Salvador, El Salvador. His parents immigrated to Los Angeles when he was 2 years old. He has practiced structural engineering since 2002 and has had his own practice since 2007.
Maria Gisela was born in Cali, Colombia. She has lived in Los Angeles since 2005. She is a psychologist in her country of origin and a licensed psychotherapist in California. She has worked as a mental health professional since 2006.
We are a couple who has decided to fulfill the dream of their lives and travel the world together. We both are passionate about traveling and seeing new things. We love nature and have spent our free time backpacking out in the wilderness and traveling around different countries. We got married in September 2012 and instead of taking a conventional honeymoon, we decided to give up our daily lives in Los Angeles for an adventure of a lifetime. We started saving and preparing for this trip 2 years before departing. This website, Our First World Trip, is a way to share our experiences and connect with anyone that is interested in an adventure. We also hope this page becomes a source of information and motivation for those who are passionate about traveling.
