Zambia

Sights and Activities

Below are the places we saw and activities completed while visiting Zambia:

Livingstone
  • Victoria Falls Bridge: this bridge spans above the Zambezi River which divides Zimbabwe and Zambia. We walked across it while enjoying great views of Victoria Falls and the surrounding greenery, Mosi-oa-Tunya National Park.

  • White Water Rafting: the Zambezi river is without a doubt one of the best white-water rafting destinations in the world and offered us one of the most adrenaline rush adventures we have had in Our First World Trip. Don’t miss our article and videos about this amazing experience.

  • Livingstone Museum: this interesting museum covered archaeology, ethnography, natural history, David Livingstone’s history and memorabilia, and modern history.

Lusaka

We did not spend too much time in this city, but we did get to spend a day walking around and seeing the contrasting lifestyles between the chaotic open city markets and the western shopping malls. But one thing was certain everywhere you go, the people are always friendly and willing to greet you.

Chipata

We arrived to this city late in the afternoon and used it as a stopping point before crossing the border into Malawi. We unfortunately did not spend any time exploring.
